Calvary Chapel Modesto gathers for Bible teaching and worship on Sunday mornings and evenings. Senior Pastor Damian Kyle planted the church in 1985. The congregation sings hymns alongside newer worship songs and studies the Bible passage by passage. Children and teenagers have dedicated ministries, with additional gatherings for young adults, men, women and seniors. Pastoral counseling, grief and divorce support, faith-based recovery groups and pregnancy support provide ways to seek help. Meet at 4300 American Avenue, Modesto, CA 95356. Sunday services begin at 8:30 and 10:45 AM and 6:00 PM, with children's church and childcare. Junior-high students in seventh and eighth grade have a separate gathering at 10:45 AM; high-school students join the main Sunday services. Both youth ministries meet separately Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Contact the office before visiting about nursery ages, children's check-in and any access needs. The office is open Monday 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Tuesday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Children's church and childcare are provided at the Sunday services. Seventh- and eighth-graders meet separately Sunday at 10:45 AM and Wednesday at 6:30 PM; high-school students join the main Sunday services and meet Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the High School Room. From September through April, CKBC meets Wednesday from 6:25 to 8:00 PM for ages four through fourth grade. Team56 serves fifth- and sixth-graders. Confirm current registration, nursery ages and check-in arrangements with the office.
Young adults aged eighteen to twenty-nine meet Thursday at 6:30 PM in the upstairs High School Room; seniors meet Thursday at 9:30 AM in Rooms 301/302. Men meet Tuesday at 6:30 AM, Wednesday at 6:30 PM, Thursday at 6:00 AM and Friday at 6:15 AM. Women's Bible studies, home fellowships and marriage classes are also available; contact the office about current terms and groups on break. Moms On Mission meets on the first and third Tuesday, 9:00 to 11:00 AM, September through April, for mothers of children ten and younger.
Office hours are Monday, 9:30 AM-5:00 PM, and Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Biblical counseling is by appointment.
