1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ChurchStation, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.

2. Use of Service

ChurchStation provides a directory of churches and religious organizations. The information is provided for informational purposes only. Users agree to use this service for lawful purposes only.

3. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use bots, crawlers, scrapers, automated scripts, bulk download tools, data-mining systems, or similar methods to access, copy, extract, cache, monitor, or compile ChurchStation content at scale without prior written permission.
• Use rotating IP addresses, proxies, spoofed user agents, or similar methods to avoid rate limits, robots.txt rules, access controls, or other technical measures.
• Copy substantial portions of the directory, rebuild our database, republish church listings, or use ChurchStation data to create or improve a competing church directory, local business directory, recommendation service, lead database, or data product.
• Access, crawl, scrape, extract, copy, cache, index, use, or derive data from ChurchStation on behalf of Yelp Inc., its affiliates, agents, contractors, or automated systems for any commercial directory, review, recommendation, advertising, lead-generation, competitive intelligence, or data-product purpose without prior written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site
• Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service
• Engage in any activity that interferes with others' use of the service
• Reproduce, duplicate, or copy content without written permission

These restrictions are not intended to prevent ordinary indexing, citation, linking, or referencing of public ChurchStation pages by search engines or AI-powered search and discovery tools that access the site responsibly and do not copy or republish substantial portions of the directory.

4. Content and Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate information about churches, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information. Churches are responsible for maintaining their own listing information.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of ChurchStation are owned by ChurchStation and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Payments and Additional Support

Paid ChurchStation subscriptions and optional additional support payments are processed through Stripe. Optional additional support helps keep ChurchStation affordable and helps us provide subscriptions for churches in low-income countries.

Additional support payments are not donations or charitable contributions. ChurchStation LLC is not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and payments to ChurchStation LLC are not tax-deductible charitable contributions. Churches may classify payments according to their own accounting practices and should consult their treasurer, accountant, or tax advisor.

7. Limitation of Liability

ChurchStation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
