Calvary Chapel La Costa Hills is a Bible-teaching congregation in San Marcos led by Pastor Buck Elsmore. Sunday morning teaching works through the New Testament, and Thursday evening devotional services focus on the Old Testament. Men's and women's Bible studies meet before the Thursday service. Prayer, worship and fellowship are central to the church's life, and recorded teaching is available online.
Calvary Chapel Mission Hills in San Marcos, also known as CCMH Church, is led by Pastor Dave James. The congregation gathers on Sunday mornings for worship and Bible teaching, with children's church and online services. Life groups, young-adult gatherings, women's Walk and Talk, new-believer classes and volunteering help people connect. A Celebrate Recovery gathering at the church offers Christ-centered peer support for life's hurts, habits and addictions.
Rise Church San Marcos is led by Senior Pastor Greg Denham. Sunday services bring the congregation together for worship, Bible teaching and prayer. RiseKids serves preschool and elementary children, and junior- and senior-high students can join youth ministry or worship with the congregation. Home groups help people discuss Sunday messages and build friendships. Get Launched is a six-week introduction to Christian faith and life at Rise. Recorded messages and online worship allow people to stay connected when they cannot attend in person.
