The church began as a Bible study in 1996 and held its first public Sunday service in 1997.

Grace Baptist Church in Fort Valley gathers for Sunday worship and Wednesday classes, with an emphasis on practical Bible teaching, prayer and following Jesus in daily life. Grace Kids provides age-appropriate teaching for young children, while middle- and high-school students have a Wednesday gathering in the Student Center and join the main Sunday service. Adult life groups meet weekly to discuss the sermon, pray and care for one another.
