Presbyterian Church in America

The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) was founded in 1973 by conservative Presbyterians who left the Presbyterian Church in the United States (PCUS) over concerns about theological liberalism and social activism. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the PCA is the second largest Presbyterian denomination in the US with approximately 1,600 churches and 400,000 members. The PCA holds to the Westminster Confession of Faith, male-only ordination, and a conservative evangelical social ethic, and supports Mission to the World for international missions, Mission to North America for church planting, and Reformed Theological Seminary.
