South Liberty Presbyterian Church in Sharon, Georgia, traces its history to an 1820 petition by members of Liberty Church to form a nearer congregation. A log church was built in 1828, followed by a frame building in 1855. That building was moved to Sharon in 1877. The congregation is included in the Savannah River Presbytery church roll.
